Day 3

Not as banal as I thought. We were given scenes and we read them and it was some what ... well we were getting our of hand and the stage manager had more tough time with us because we were being really loud. But it's all justified. I mean, c'mon 20 people in a small room for 6 hours ... yeah we are gonna get loud ... Bleh! Today we had a song signing table and the the crayon doodling table on the other side I also took part in a hand of Bull Shit. That That's to sum up the day! Over all, less of a chaos and more of, mellow boring fun. Oxymoron, but ... true.

Our fuel for the day

Oh Ben :) lol

During a half hour break we had a chance to run to 7 eleven and fill ourselves up with sugar.

TJ is gobbling up this, this ... this ...
what is that?!

Tia didn't go to 7 eleven and had nothing else to eat other then her own fingers (joke)

Haily is reading a scene with Morgan

Thandi

from top right clockwise: Ben, Lindsy-Teal, Christina, and Tray. Reading a scene before they go in

That's me, playing Bull Shit
(which I lost)

We had to stay later
and some people had
their rides call them
to see wtf is up :)

Day 2

Well, nothing but madness and more scenes, stuffy poop-room (Yes, TJ, poop-room) and the very ardent " AMDA-kids" whisperer aka stage manager. The room kept getting hot and stuffy. No one was allowed to go out, or else they would have you dig your own grave by doing pirouettes till you're well in the ground and bleeding profusely from your ankles and .... I'm sorry, where was I? Oh yeah stuffy poop-room. ... We were like sardines in a can, and instead of oil, it was paper, scenes and more scenes. Once our stomachs have started to gnaw like hungry babies of a bold eagle we grew more and more patriotic toward the selection of our menu, we didn't forget all American traditional food, how could we, we're artists that practice our nationalism and we picked up the phone and ordered ... Chinese takeout; Yei for commies. As the evening grew severally banal, one of our classmates didn't feel so good, (Who blames him? All the poopy smell and the claustrophobic environment) he had to leave, thus pushing all the scenes that he's in for tomorrow. Oh and how can we forget the bunny, ... actually we did ... but it's ok because we summed up the night with an eccentric pussy cat talk, or as some one else have put it ... artistic female genitalia (I had to look for least objectionable substitutions here), oppose to ... well ... not quite sure because I stopped listening to all other references, for I, due to the topic at hand, have drifted away on a little day dream of ... Oh never mind. As the talk became more intricate and deep, the night grew cold, and the evening ended. We all slowly impelled our-tired-selvs towards the door. Tomorrow is looking feeble. Well let's hope something jubilant comes up and tickles our little "funny" :)

Day 1

AMDA
O4 Showcase

This blog is dedicated to My life in AMDA's showcase, fourth semester.

AMDA, American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Perhaps i should have started this blog on my first semester, but i didn't. As we all no nothing is too late. I thought starting a blog with my showcase which signals the end of my school in academy an is equivalent to the final of all finals, academically speaking.
Artistically speaking, this is what we, the students the actors and actresses of the school had been ardently dreading for since our first step into the door of our first class in AMDA.
We've started our semester with film projects that have been shot and are now going threw editing process, las weekend we've done our improv-slam, which was fun! And this week is the first week of our final show case where we get to preform two to three scenes on stage in front of our parents, friends, teachers, and of course the industry (agents, managers, casting directors, etc.)
Day 1
03/05/2007

Filled with anxiety and distress, the O4's showed no mercy to the time that dragged and dragged, and all those scenes left TJ with nightmares. Who's on deck? Are they next? Are we in a hole? What's a hole? Wait... What rabbit? The one that's on her face! Oh no, it's him with shorts and flip-flops.

Jordan, looks over his copy of a script. He's next.
Gear up!

Angela, teasing the cameraman!

As you can tell, we're clearly semi bored due to a long list of scenes that are up and the dull feeling of "are we there yet" But we were locked in the small room for 6 hours, all 21 of us. Crazy!

Cups of hot coco, the room is trashed, next day it'll see more of it.
